The Batac Family
My Personal Testimony I was born and grew up in Catholic family. I thought all along I was serving the Lord but I found out that I was sincerely wrong. In 1975, I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior through the witness of my Christian teacher in senior high school. Being the first to become a Christian from a very poor family of thirteen (13) children, it was my desire to see my family gets saved. Also, I want to help elevate my family from poverty by becoming a successful civil engineer. Thus, for quite a few years, I had been working so hard to help myself pursue my college degree but God had me fulfilled His purpose instead of my personal plans. He called me to be a preacher in a full time service. Since then, I had my Bible training from my own pastor through his consistent teaching. After years have passed, God has given me the privilege of leading my own family to a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I became very active in soul-winning, outreach program and very much involved in children and youth ministry. In 1981, Arlen Landingin, a faithful Sunday School teacher, consented to marry me. God blessed our marriage with seven (7) children. In 1984, a privilege was given to me to pioneer a mission work in a nearby town. 1987, it was established as Harvest Baptist Church. Then in 1989, I had the privilege to break a new ground of mission work in one of the big cities in the province of Laguna where at recent time I am still involved. The church, Harvesters Baptist Church, was started in the downstairs garage of an apartment building but quickly began to grow due to God’s hand of blessing. Today, the church is still reaching souls with the Gospel through soul-winning and discipleship and by ministering to over 1,000 souls on a weekly basis. We are also involved in Church planting ministry through training nationals, Bible Seminary, Academy, Outreaches, and the Orphanage called Bayanihan Children’s Home with over 60 children. |
